This recipe book has been compiled by Soroptimist International of Hobart as a project during the centenary of Soroptimist International. The Hobart club was the first Soroptimist club formed in Tasmania in September 1949 and has been active in the community for the 72 years since.
Our recipe book committee has worked hard to review, edit, and compile the 100 recipes in this book.
All funds raised from the sale of these recipes will support local projects that improve the lives of women and girls and support the Sustainable Development Goals as set out by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015.
Since the first Soroptimist club was founded in Oakland, California in October 1921, women have advocated for human rights and gender equality. Today there is a network of over 72,000 members in 121 countries working locally, nationally, and internationally to Educate, Empower and Enable opportunities for women and girls.
Our vision is for women and girls to achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide.
